Sunday, April 16, 2006 I'm actually Blogging Excitement fills the air as I ready myself to serve the nation. To put Singapore's interests over my own and prepare to don the helmet of national security. Yes.. I am going to be a soldier soon. Ok.. Actually I'm just going for my medical examination at CMPB tomorrow. Haha. At least it's the stepping stone to filling the boots of previous NSmen [Ret.] who have trodden the Tekong path before me. So there's no school for me tomorrow (cheer or cry?) and I can meet Edmund for breakfast after which we would brace ourselves for "THE Cough". I'm looking forward to army life (the government has one less case of NS dodging to worry about) and I hope that after I pass out i'll be able to proclaim that my enthusiasm for army life didn't wane. I'm going to be botak!! Yay!! So cooling. One year to go. Anyway.. Didn't realize that i've been gone from TWE for 2 years already. So sad.. The current sec 1s and I have never seen each other! I shall make an effort to come down for band camps and rehearsals. Next batch of leaders please keep the alumni informed k. Thank you so much. =) Still, whenever we get back together!! WOoh!! The chemistry is unbelievable. GR still rocks. And did you know.. That.. Zat almost got knocked down by a car today?!! Oh man.. first must chip the front tooth on an imitation Malaysian SBS bus, then have a great fall. Now still want to test driver's reaction times. Haha. Thank God nothing happened to you.. Better stop the "DO YOU KNOW" thing with Yi Mei ah. Haha. Almost finished reading Tuesdays with Morrie although I took a year to notice it. Think my focus and perspective in life is changing, just like little old Morrie's. The superficial secondary school stuff is long gone.. aimless MSN conversations, computer games and what I talked to Rui Qi about today-all left in my early youth. Of course some things never change: TWE, SAJC Band will keep me busy for many years to come. Not forgetting new things that pop up: Soccer!!! (Yes Zat. soccer.) Go SA Soccer!! Go Tampines Rovers!! Get them Young Lions!! Go Lions!! Such grief. Man U drew Sunderland. Brazil will win the World Cup!! Lions are my favourite. Get that AFC crown man! But ultimately, everything up here doesn't matter. Jesus does. I'm so touched that GR got back to church (and me too). Want to tell Jiaxin to persevere on too no matter what trials come bounding along. I need to constantly talk to a few people..
