Filth

http://www.geocities.com/hscsab/syfhome.html

The forum is full of dirt.
Now i know why Glosz doesn't want the SYF.

29 Golds this year, twice the 15 of 2001.

Students are not happy.. their reasoning - The adjudicators don't know how to judge. Like please... i'm so ashamed of being a Singaporean. The judges come from overseas and are all well known for their teachings in band. So many bandits all over Singapore think that the SYF this year is unfair. So were the 15 golds in 2001 fair? Funny ah.. taking into account that some of the 2001 judges also judged the 2003 SYF.

On a brighter note, there were a couple of true musicians who rebuked these thoughts of jealousy. Others were neutral and had pity for the bands who got a C.O.P, saying that they had put in a lot of hardwork and deserve at least a bronze. Tell me which band did not put in hardwork?

A chemist did an experiment to test for a particular gas. He got negative results on his first attempt, but kept on trying and trying for years.. he even bought the latest in technology to aid in his experiment.
The gas was carbon dioxide.
He did everything but testing the gas out in limewater.

Didn't he work very hard? Were his investments insufficient?

On the other hand, his son, a student who simply loved chemistry tried it out in his school lab, and at the first attempt found that it was carbon Dioxide. How did the student know that's the method he should use?
Beacause he had a teacher who taught him the basics well. Not only that, his teacher also taught him to work smart and sacrificed his time after school to answer the student's queries - passion.

Finally, the son grew up to become a renown Chemist, while his father lost his job, never to be seen in the scientific field ever again.

The son worked hard, smart and had the passion and attitude.

Turning the spotlight on TWE.. we owe a lot to Mr. Glosz. Without him, half the hardwork would be gone, all the smart work would be gone, half the passion and attitude will be gone. Not to mention that attitude and passion are still quite missing.

SARS extended practice time. VCH is the perfect place to perform and camouflage sounds. Without these two factors we would be quite gone also..

Don't get complacent people.. we are extremely lucky.

23rd July 2003 - The most fun day of my life. The only day in my life where I shed tears of joy.

Stay united TWE, I don't want to leave this band.

AH!!!

Wednesday 23rd July 2003
Time Name of School
1645 Temasek Secondary- We rock!

We came. We Vwapped. And we conquered!

Victory is sweet. Rememebr our C.O.P standard 7 months ago? Remember our Distinction 7 hours ago? Long, long way.. It's quite a miracle actually, considering the countless problems we faced and still face. The 6 minutes on stage felt like a blink of an eye.. It was fun, rewarding, It was VWAPP!!!
I must have shed the most tears today.. given and received the most hugs too. The experience is ecstacy. Let's do it again!
However, with results comes expectation, so now everything that comes out must sound distinctive, not only from the seniors, but also the juniors. Lets also apply more Mopiko on our heads to prevent swelling.
This is a new chapter in all our lives, let's write it with passion.

Let's go and collect the metal our performance produced!
