Big screw up

Apparently, I just screwed up something very important. Hopefully everything will be fine tomorrow and on monday.

Going back in time, learning fest day 1 was a major screw up too. But who cares man? These people did a perfect job on day 2 and everyone left as an official member of SAJC Junior Band. That just proves that with a correct focus and attitude we can rock the house man. I did twinkle twinkle little star on the cornet! Woohoo! Hopefully the video and photos are all uploaded. Great job Jeremy! =)

Can't stand it..

SAJC band is just so HIP! Unfortunately I can't leak out the juicy details on why we're so hip coz it's our secret project.. =)
Compared to TWE 03 I definitely miss the fun part, American Riversongs Band was the ultimate! Too bad we couldn't stay together for long. *TWE alumni, I appeal to you to go back and help your juniors, just learnt that that's how St. Pat's revives the band when the sec 4s leave.

Anyway, back to SAJC.. Learning fest is such a useful tool in expanding our horizons. Some typical spoilt brats will just waste their choices and pon their courses but that's their loss.

Salsa is HOT man! The dance I mean. It's soo fun! I may sound very ignorant here, but the guy is actually leading the girl throughout the whole dance and it's not choreographed. I'm such an idiot at dance. Haha. So cool lah! To do a basic you actually have to give a nudge with your left hand to your partner's hand. To do a sideward step your right hand nudges your partners waist to your right. For turns just raise up your hands at either the 2nd or 6th quaver. Ahh! Such communication! It's like a secret code only Salsa dancers know. And Ada complimented me saying i'm good at giving the subtle signal thing! Wooh! But honestly I can't dance for coconuts..

Went with Jojo Kawi! Was so excited the night before we even colour coded with the maroon saints shirt. The class was small, think a quarter of the participants didn't turn up. Wasted opportunities to lead a more meaningful life.. Quite expectedly there were only 2 guys-Stuart and me. That makes me the only guy there who can't dance. Severely numerically outnumbered 2 to 12, some ladies had to assume their greatest nightmare and became guys, and we would rotate partners after every few steps.

Ok.. in the beginning it was quite weird to hold Jojo's hand but eventually we were doing the basics and leftwards. Think we were the most cartoon pair there, always not listening and turning at the wrong places, but at least no one got throbbing purple feet at the end of it.

Then the challenge came. At first I was rotated to Ada, and being so tall and all I was quite intimidated. Ada still wanted to intro to me who she was. Haha. But it went quite smoothly and there went 123ing ad 567ing. Every other girl after that was not known to me till that crazy day and I could actually identify their characters while dancing with them. The experiences were: Hi^5s! Scary! Neutral. Proud. The best(encouraging)! Vertically disproportinate. Weird. Yup. I think i'm described as:
unstable.
But salsa really made my day after being so pissed and all. =)

Badminton was boring so Jojo, Andrew, his friend and I entertained ourselves by shouting a type of food before hitting the shuttle over. Basically went like this:

"Char Kuay Teow!"
"Tock!"
"Hokkien Mee!"
"Tock!"
"Char Siew Pau!"
"Tock!
"Tock!"
"Shit! I forgot to say!"

Ended off with a vibrating right arm and cramping legs.

Stress release was a piece of crap. We just went there and started laughing when the guy asked us to focus on this and that muscle and everyone started dozing off. It became a 40 min sleeping session and Dorcas left the room coz she couldn't stop laughing.. Haha. Wasted one option.

Learning fest was a blast! Band workshop and Salsa rule the world! Hope our juniors 2 years later will improve on the band one. =)

Confirmed pieces for Junior Band Fest are:
1. Theme from 'Jag'
2. Shenandoah (oh yeah!)
3. Beauty and the Beast
4. Copacabana

Looking forward to JBF so that our batch can finally work together musically. We really have so many opportunities to inject life into the mundane education system, accomplished learning fest, secret project on the way, JBF, open house(?), tune-in, SAJC Concert(?), Saints Concert. Keep the flame burning brightly ever!

I pray that 'that' will not happen.

I pray that i'll know whether the other 'that' should happen.

I thank God for Reagan! =)
